Women’s Self-Defense – Ground Defenses

The Women’s Self-Defense seminars are geared towards self-defense specifically designed for women. They cover certain social issues women face in regards to self-defense, common attack scenarios women face and how to bring out your inner-strength. This is the second of three rotating seminars created for women new to Krav Maga and self-defense. While having attended the first seminar (Grabs, Chokes and Holds) will be beneficial, it will not be necessary to understand the material in this seminar.
The Ground Defenses seminar is open to any female age 16 and older. The seminar focuses on what to do when an attacker has taken you to the ground. This covers self-defenses while you are on the ground, how to get an attacker off you, and how to safely get up from the ground to get away. The ground is a dangerous place to be, and this seminar focuses on how to minimize the threat in order to get away.
Our scenario-based training includes stress drills so you can practice your techniques in a safe, but realistic setting. The seminars are hands-on so you can practice all the techniques presented in the seminar. Teaching your body to do what your mind has learned is important to self-defense and our seminars are designed to let you do just that.
What to Bring and Wear
- Loose, comfortable clothing suitable for a workout
- Water and towel
- Tennis shoes
