Our women’s only classes, Women’s Self-Defense Seminars, are made for people who want the security and peace of mind that comes with knowing how to protect themselves and others. This knowledge is invaluable and can help you avoid and survive potentially dangerous situations in the real world. The more you understand about self-defense, the less likely you are to become a target. You will become more confident, and the more confident you are, the less likely you are to be attacked.
Seminars take place bi-monthly and cover various topics, including car-jackings, knife-threats and ground threats. Each seminar focuses on recognizing danger, getting out of danger, and how to prevent dangerous situations altogether. The courses are specifically designed with the novice in mind. Information and training includes:
- Understanding and managing real-life situations
- Awareness of your surroundings
- Attack prevention
- Reducing and avoiding risks
- Managing fear and anxiety under attacks
- Understanding how predators pick their targets
- How to be well-protected
These are some of the many benefits in learning how to defend yourself. Learning the basics of self-defense is simple and effective. This seminar is intended to teach you how to defend yourself in real situations with intuitive basics that are easy to use and remember. The lead instructors are certified and have trained specifically in Women’s Self-Defense and have a unique understanding of the situation.
Often we’re raised to believe that we should not fight back, but rather find a peaceful solution to all situations. This is not always possible. We’re raised to believe that someone will always come to our aid, but statistics show that aid may be up to 20 minutes away. Being able to defend yourself is one of the most important things you can learn. When you can defend yourself, you won’t need to wait and hope for aid. You can help yourself.
